Government has asked with pollution control boards to
initiate action against industrial units that discharges polluted water into
the Ganga River. Government would also encourage local people who reside near
Ganga River to take participation in cleaning the Ganga. The plan would be
started in the tributaries of Ganga also. Yamuna, Gomti, Damodar rivers are already
under operation. A high amount of money would be implemented in this project.
