Yesterday, on 27 July 2015, the former President Abdul Kalam was giving lectures to the IIM Students, Shillong, where he got a heart attack, then immediately he was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. It was around 6 P.M. when he felt the attack.
Abul Kalam was the Former President, in the duration of 2002-2007. He was known by the name of ‘Missile Man’. He was born in Rameshwaram and graduated in Aeronautical Engineering. He had a major role in developing missiles like AGNI, PRITHVI. He was Scientific Adviser to DRDO.
A number of friends, wishers, relatives, politicians will gather at Rameshwaram, at the President’s house to see him last time. The President’s body is preserved by the State Government for taking to the Rameshwaram. The date, time and venue of the funeral will be told by the Government later as it is not final yet. The State Government where the Kalam had breathed last time has declared one day holiday while seven days mourning throughout India has been declared by the Government.
The Kalam last wish has been always that he always wanted to see a billion smiles on a billion faces in the country. Only one thing, he had always regretted that he could not provide the facilities like 24 hours electricity for his parents during their lifetime.
His subordinate was saying that he also wanted to give the surprise assignment which was related to the finding of the innovative ideas of ending disruptions in Parliament; the assignment would be given to the students at the end of the lecture.
