Gujrat Earthquake 2001


On 26 January 2001, India was celebrating their 52nd Republic Day with exuberance at 8:46 AM, at the same time, a major earthquake come on the Bhuj, Gujrat; all India was filled with gloom. An earthquake destroyed a number of the people, schools, houses, and offices. Many people were injured and were flown on the roads; many were stuck inside the rubble. It damaged the number of buildings which caused rubble had spread everywhere on the roads. All the news channels were flashing the Bhuj news. Thousands of people were killed and injured during this earthquake. A number of people were crying due to the loss of their closest relatives. All the roads were blocked so it was very difficult to save those people who were stuck inside the rubble. It was the worst earthquake in the Bhuj. Rescue workers were trying to save the people that were inside the rubble. A number of passersby were collected near the collapsed buildings. The death rate was increasing rapidly as rescue workers were declaring the people’s death. The Indian Army was proffering help of the Bhuj people from their helicopters; they were giving necessary items such as water, and food to the people. A number of doctors were coming to save injured people.
