Train accident in AP

At least 5 people were dead and 20 were injured in the mishap between the Nandi-Express Train and a truck at the crossing level in Anantpur district. The truck driver lost control and hit the coach of a moving train. The truck driver, who was carrying granite, died at the spot.

In the list of dead people, one passenger was the Venkatesh Naik, a member of Karnataka Assembly from Devadurg constituency in Raichur district.
